Breast cancer is a type of cancer that develops in the breast tissue and is similar to any other cancer. Women over the age of 50 are the most commonly impacted by breast cancer. Experts estimate that roughly 80% of breast cancer cases occur in women over the age of 50. It’s also stated that the older you become, the greater your risk.

A lump is the most frequent sign of breast cancer that may be found. Furthermore, there are a slew of other breast cancer symptoms.

Breast cancer begins when cells begin to divide and expand in an abnormal and chaotic manner.

Breast cancer can spread to certain sections of the body. Breast cancer is most commonly seen in the ducts, which are tubes in the breast that deliver breast milk to the nipple. The lobules are another area where cancer can develop. The lobules are milk-producing glands that help with breastfeeding.

Even yet, there is a small risk that males may develop breast cancer, and if this happens, the men who develop breast cancer will be above 60 years old. Aside from DNA, the environment and one’s lifestyle have an influence on breast cancer.

If you notice any changes in your breasts or the area around your breasts, you should seek medical attention. If breast cancer is detected early, there is a good possibility of a successful therapy. To determine whether you have breast cancer, you should consult your doctor and undergo tests that will reveal the source and stage of the disease.

A woman’s age, genetic characteristics, family history, personal health history, and food all have a role in her cancer risk.

Breast cancer risk factors that can be managed to avoid the disease

• Alcohol consumption—drinking too much alcohol raises your chance of breast cancer. Those who drink two or three alcoholic beverages per day have a 20% increased chance of developing breast cancer than women who do not drink at all.

• Breast implants—Silicon breast implants and the scar tissue that results make routine mammograms more difficult to interpret. To better the inspection, it is important to have a few extra photographs (called implant displacement views). The implants are also linked to a rare disease known as anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL).

• Bodyweight—Another risk factor for breast cancer is being overweight. To avoid it, you must engage in physical exercise and consume a nutritious diet.

• Deciding not to breastfeed- Deciding not to breastfeed might increase the risk of breast disease.
