Tuberculosis is a disease caused by bacteria that spreads from person to person through airborne particles. TB most commonly affects the lungs, but in extreme cases, it can also damage other organs such as the brain and kidneys. If TB is not treated early enough, a person can die from it.

The following are some of the mild symptoms of tuberculosis:

· Weight loss that happens right away

· Sweating in the middle of the night

When tuberculosis becomes serious and affects the lungs, the following symptoms appear:

· Pain in the chest

According to medical specialists, the symptoms of tuberculosis differ from person to person.

When someone with tuberculosis of the lungs or throat coughs, sneezes, or talks in public, the disease spreads through the air. The time it takes for germs to circulate in the environment varies, so if someone breathes in the air carrying these germs, they can become infected; this is known as latent tuberculosis infection, which is the initial stage of tuberculosis.

If you have latent tuberculosis, which is the first stage of the infection, your doctor will prescribe medication to kill the germs and prevent the infection from becoming active. A patient must take the drugs for up to 9 months to treat latent Tb.

Active tuberculosis is a more serious and dangerous stage of tuberculosis. Call your doctor right away if you notice any signs of active tuberculosis. To treat active tuberculosis, a combination of medications is required. This patient must take medicines for a year to be treated.

As the immune system weakens, a patient with the infection listed below will have a harder time fighting tuberculosis.

· AIDS (Human Immunodeficiency Virus)

· Diabetes is a disease that affects millions of people worldwide.

· Kidney failure is a serious condition that affects the kidneys.

· Cancer

· Chemotherapy is still being administered.

· Body weight that is low

· Medications for organ transplantation

A patient may experience adverse effects such as vomiting, weakness, lack of appetite, and numbness in their hands and paws when using TB medications.
