Book encapsulates her spiritual encounters with sages from Himalayas

Guru Sakalamaa, a renowned spiritual and life Guru, who has authored ‘Messages from the Himalayan Sages: Timely & Timeless’ interacted with the media on her book at a press meet held at Press Club, Chandigarh. The significant event was marked by an engaging media interaction, where Guru Sakalamaa shared insights from her new book and discussed her spiritual journey.
It is to be noted that Guru Sakalamaa is a direct disciple of Swami Rama of the Himalayas who initiated her into the Sri Vidya traditions 30 years ago. Sri Vidya seeks to transcend devotees’ spiritual consciousness, uniting them with the ultimate reality.
‘Messages from the Himalayan Sages: Timely & Timeless’ is a documentation of her experiences that explain in simple words that spiritual growth is not rocket science and is achievable by following a simple system –Sri Vidya. This doesn’t need doing penance by abdicating one’s worldly duties. “The idea behind the book is to demystify spirituality and bring it to every home not only in India but even the world. The book makes spiritualism easy to follow by all irrespective of religion, caste, race, colour and geographical boundaries,” said Guru Sakalamaa.
“The book delves into the wisdom and teachings of the Himalayan sages, drawing connections between ancient practices and their relevance in contemporary times. We need to make people aware of the need to progress spiritually and strike a balance in life by making both mind and body healthy,” added Guru Sakalamaa.
“In the book, I have tried to lucidly weave together the sacred teachings of the Himalayan Rishi lineage and the Sri Vidyaranya Bharathi Tradition of South India,” she said. It’s to be noted that the Sri Vidyaranya Bharathi Tradition is known for its contributions to spiritual and Vedantic thought.
Guru Sakalamaa shares in the book a wealth of personal experiences and transformative insights garnered over three decades of dedicated practice and exploration based on her intimate encounters with spiritual luminaries from the Himalayas.
“The book invites the readers to explore the rich spiritual heritage of our Sages and discover the common threads that bind humanity together. At its core it is a testament to the enduring power of ever pervasive Rishi lineage that continues to guide humanity,” said Guru Sakalamaa.
She said that heartfelt prose and profound insights of the book guide readers on to a path of self-discovery and spiritual awakening, discovering within themselves the timeless echoes of the sages.
It is worth mentioning that Guru Sakalamaa, is the Founding Director and former Chairman of Sadhana Sangama Trust.
“The book sends the message that without disturbing one’s present lifestyle one can adopt the route of ‘sadhana’ and grow beyond the mental limitations which are responsible for present day unhealthy lifestyles,” Guru Sakalamaa further said.
It is pertinent to state that a formal launch ceremony of the book is to take place at Punjab Kala Bhawan on July 21. The chief guests on the occasion will be Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Padme Shri and MP (Rajya Sabha) and renowned actor Gurpreet Ghuggi. The launch will feature a spontaneous art performance, in which Guru Sakalamaa will recount a poignant moment from her life, which Karandeep Singh Bajwa, a renowned artist and architect will skillfully capture in a one-minute sketch. What’s more, a production, ‘The Guiding Dream: A Journey with Sage Durvasa’ will portray the extraordinary experience of Gauravpreet Singh Bajwa, who, in a vivid and transformative dream, encountered the legendary Sage Durvasa. Gauravpreet is a direct disciple of Sri Guru Sakalamaa. One will also witness the ethereal ‘Mystic Moon Salutation’ (Chandra Kala Namaskara) Conceptualised & Designed by Guru Sakalamaa and performed again by Gauravpreet who is also an internationally acclaimed yoga exponent.
