‘India’s Best Dancer – Season 4’ finds its ‘Best Barah!’

The stage is set, and the spotlight shines brighter than ever as Sony Entertainment Television’s homegrown dance reality show, ‘India’s Best Dancer – Season 4’, unveils its ‘Best Barah.’ After witnessing a whirlwind of unique participants from all over the country who showcased their best moves during the Auditions and the Mega Auditions, our ‘ENT’ (Entertainment, Newness and Technique) Specialists – Karisma Kapoor, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis have finally chosen the best twelve to move ahead in the competition. The ‘Best Barah’ contestants are Amos Mathi, Arjun Sathe and Akansha Mishra (Akina) from Mumbai, Nikhil Patanayak from Chhattisgarh, Harsh Keshri from Patna, Smruti Swarup Patra (Nextion) and Dibyajoti Naik from Orissa, Deepak Sahi (Nepo) from Uttarakhand, Vaishnavi Shekhawat from Bangalore, Steve Jyrwa from Meghalaya, Chitrakshi Batra from Punjab, and Rohan Choudhary from Assam. Each of them has triumphed on stage and proved why they rightfully deserve to remain and hone their skill on this prestigious platform. In the Grand Premiere on the 3rd and 4th of August, viewers will witness the Best Barah along with their respective choreographers for the first time, as they kickstart the journey towards the winning trophy of ‘India’s Best Dancer – Season 4.’
‘Aamchi’ Mumbai’s Amos Mathi, who specialises in freestyle, is a 23-year-old from Borivali, who won the judges over not just with the art of dance but also by his typical Mumbaiya andaaz of talking. Arjun Sathe, from Mumbai, left an impactful mark with his unique fusion of house dance with contemporary and lyrical styles, highlighting his creativity and skill. Akansha Mishra, also known as Akina, represented Mumbai with her enchanting lyrical dance choreography, seamlessly blending emotion and technique with each move. Nikhil Patnayak from Chhattisgarh delivered powerful contemporary routines, demonstrating strong lines, flexibility, and expressive choreography. Harsh Keshri from Patna captivated the judges with his intense contemporary dance performances, showcasing powerful techniques and emotive storytelling. The contestant who made Karisma Kapoor dance with him was Orissa’s Smruti Swarup Patra aka Nextion, who danced his way into the judges’ hearts with his hip-hop and freestyle dance performances. Dibyajyoti Naik, who also belongs to Orissa, was spotted in the audience by host Jay Bhanushali; he effortlessly managed to find a spot in Top 12 as he impressed the judges with his mix of popping with Bollywood choreography. Deepak Shahi, affectionately known as Nepo, wowed the audience with his dynamic hip-hop freestyle, bringing his electrifying moves and an impeccable rhythm from Uttarakhand. Vaishnavi Shekhawat from Bangalore, mesmerised the panel with her modern contemporary dance choreography, showcasing fluid movements and expressions that left the judges awed. Called as a surprise package by the ENT Specialists, 17-year-old Steve Jrywa from Meghalaya stunned the judges with his hip-hop moves and flawless footwork. Punjab’s Chitrakshi Batra wooed the Judges with her open style choreography as she matched her steps with choreographer Vartika Jha and last but not least is Rohan Chaudhary from Assam, who owned the stage with his hip-hop choreography.
The journey to make it into the ‘Best Barah’ has been filled with incredible talent, passion, and hard work. Each contestant has demonstrated extraordinary skill and creativity, making the selection process extremely challenging for the Judges. The competition promises to be more exciting than ever as these talented dancers continue to showcase their artistry and strive to win the coveted title.
