On ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’, Dhairya Karwa talks about his experience of working with Deepika Padukone

This weekend, Sony Entertainment Television’s light-hearted show, ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’, will welcome the cast of the investigative drama, ‘Gyaarah Gyaarah’, featuring Kritika Kamra, Raghav Juyal and Dhairya Karwa, guaranteeing  a healthy dose of laughter and heartwarming entertainment. In the episode, the celebrity guests will be seen engaging in a candid conversation with host Zakir Khan, spilling the tea about some intriguing life experiences.

Making an interesting revelation on the show about his journey from pursuing an MBA to making his way into the world of entertainment, Dhairya Karwa shared that the universe had its own plans for him. He elaborated further saying, “I was working as a Data Analyst in a 9 to 5 setup, but life had other plans for me. I had made up my mind to pursue an MBA, but one day, my friends asked me why I never tried modelling and back then, I used to see some pictures in magazines as well. After hearing them out, I felt that I could actually do it. So, that really encouraged me and I decided to give it a shot and came to Mumbai to try my luck.”

Moreover, on being asked by host Zakir Khan about his movie Gehraiyaan and his experience of working with Deepika Padukone, Dhairya added, “I had the same impression that everyone had – one forgets their lines while looking at Deepika Padukone. Like the way Diljeet Ji said, “Today, I have to work with Kareena Kapoor”, similarly my reaction was “Today I have to work with Deepika Padukone”! So there wasa lot of excitement, but she is very sweet and when you interact with her, it does not feel like she is a star. She is very grounded, she eats her Rasam Chawal every morning. (laughs) And, when you interact with her, she will pleasantly surprise you with her personality. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her.”
