Governor honours Tricity topper

The Punjab Governor and UT Administrator, Mr Banwarilal Purohit, on Friday honoured Aashna Jain for securing the first position in Chandigarh tricity in the ISC Class 12 exams Commerce stream.

The Governor invited Aashna to Raj Bhavan for an exclusive felicitation ceremony. After presenting her with a clock as a mark of appreciation, he interacted with Aashna on her achievement and also enquired about her future plans.

“You have done all of us proud,” the Governor said and expressed the confidence that she would continue to bring laurels to the tricity.

Aashna shared her success story with the Governor and told him that she wanted to pursue B.Com Honours from Delhi University or any other institution of repute for which she had already started preparing for the entrance test.

The Governor wished her all the best in her future endeavours and expressed the confidence that she would excel wherever she pursues higher studies and also later in life.

Accompanied by members of her family – grandfather Dr Pawan Kumar Jain, mother Nitu Jain and father Nitin Jain, Aashna thanked the Governor and assured him that she would put in her best to succeed in life.

A student of Strawberry Fields High School, Chandigarh, Aashna Jain had topped Chandigarh tricity in ISC Class 12 exams Commerce stream, the result of which was declared on May 14.
