Tiranga Marathon organized to commemorate Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, 2nd Chandigarh Battalion NCC Chandigarh

Today, under the ‘Har Ghar Tricolor’ program in the series of  ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to be organized across the country on the completion of 75 years of India’s independence, Tricolor flag was distributed to the cadets of 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC and 10 kilometer tricolor marathon.  In which 52 NCC Senior Division Cadets, two  Officers, 2 NCC Associate Officers  and staff of 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC Chandigarh participated enthusiastically in this marathon.

The Commanding Officer of 2nd Chandigarh Battalion NCC Chandigarh flagged off the Tricolor Marathon from Bougainvillea Park. With the tricolor in the hands of the participants of the marathon, a new atmosphere of enthusiasm and zeal was created while chanting Bharat Mata. The commanding officer bowed down to the martyrs, explaining the importance of freedom.  He also said that the free India we are breathing in today is the result of the struggle of lakhs of martyrs.  Those who did not hesitate to put their lives at stake in achieving independence for the sake of their country.  Today we are free, republic.  We have our own constitution.  We have our own land and sky.
